Settling in

Children form strong bonds with their key person, allowing them to feel safe and secure.
We realize that for many children entering our nursery it is the first time that they have been in a nursery environment and possibly the first time they have been separated from their parents.
We offer a flexible settling in period to suit individual children and encourage an informal home visit prior to starting nursery where your key person can come and meet you and your child in your own environment. Call us for further information.

All the staff are absolutely lovely, kind, caring, patient and, most importantly, so easy to talk to. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and you always feel welcome, listened to and reassured.

Every child is different, and what I love about My Nursery is that they genuinely take the time to get to know each child as an individual, encouraging them, supporting them and allowing them to grow in their own way.

Watching Lennox develop, build confidence, make friendships and achieve his own little milestones has been wonderful.

As a parent, knowing your child is somewhere they are happy, safe, cared for and understood is everything.

It's not just about the nursery itself, it's the people who make it what it is, and every single member of staff deserves recognition for the care and dedication they put into what they do.

A massive thank you to everyone at My Nursery for being part of Lennox's journey and giving him such a lovely start.

They are kind, funny, caring and genuinely felt like part of the family, doing above and beyond to support the children and parents alike. Both my kids thrived under their care, learning so much and establishing lasting friendships.

We absolutely love this nursery! ❤️ My eldest attended and is now 16, my middle child has just left to start primary school, and my youngest is still there. That alone says how much we trust and love the staff. They have been such a special part of our children’s early years, providing so much care, love and support. I was so worried about finding somewhere but I left My Nursery after my first visit and thought ‘this is how I should feel about a nursery’ and other parents I’ve spoken to said they felt the same too which is why we chose it. The staff are so caring and attentive, they have so much time for my little one and myself. Lots and lots of thought is put in to every activity and it’s so beautifully set up every day. My child absolutely loves it at My Nursery and I’d highly recommend it to prospective parents / children.

An amazing nursery with the kindest people working here, my daughter absolutely loves going to My Nursery, and it makes me so happy knowing she enjoys her time there ☺️ I went to the nursery myself 20 years ago! which is one of the main reasons I chose it for my daughter. It’s lovely to be able to send her somewhere that holds memories for me too, and now she gets to make her own special memories there. The staff created a welcoming and loving environment for him to settle into. They are a fantastic team, who clearly support each other, enjoy their work and genuinely care about their children, which made the transition into nursery so easy for the whole family.
We were all sad when it was time to move on to school, but our son was very well prepared for the next step thanks to the nurturing from his brilliant teachers.
Thoroughly recommend My Nursery for a provision that has a home-from-home feel, brilliant outdoor space & staff that will do all they can to help your child feel safe, have fun, develop and thrive.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a former Primary School Teacher I was very apprehensive about finding the right nursery for our son. A lot of people expected me to pick a Montessori nursery; and whilst those can be great, actually, it’s all about heart and the feeling you get inside a place. Especially this early on in a child’s life. We quickly felt comfortable in the space. It’s a lovely nursery with the owner living above it which has an instant homely feel.

It’s obvious the staff get along which was hugely important to me having been part of early years and primary where the staff are clearly unhappy and in turn impacts the quality of the children’s experience. They’re diverse and inclusive and go out of their way to ensure children from all cultures and backgrounds are respected and cared for.

Our child has warmed quickly to his key worker and talks about her positively at home- which was wonderful to hear especially as I looked after him until the age of 2. Of course there are days where he’s tearful to go in but in general he settles quickly and comes home chatting excitedly about his day. The children experience songs, story telling, outdoor activities and numerous educational activities indoors. They also have a pet turtle which is adorable! Thank you to the hard working team for everything so far!

So glad I was recommended this nursery by others as the care for children the Teachers have here is just honestly wonderful. My daughter is so happy and content here, she can't wait to tell me all the activities and excitement she does daily. The Teachers really do go above and beyond for them all, they are so lovely and the extra special touch that started it all off for me for the home visit to come meet us and get to know everything before my daughter's first day. I recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for their child. I dread the day my daughter leaves here for big school.
